Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko!

They are a comedy with "high school and slice of life" themes. Both consist of an insecure girl , that likes a boy and does boyish things.  

In both anime, the two protagonists are redhead tomboys, with a romantic theme full of encounters within a school background, while you advance with the story the progressive implementation of important characters deepen the plot. In both series, the protagonists are very charming because of their strong-willed personalities

If you value a lot of comedy in your romcoms as well as a lot of chemistry between the main romantic interests I’d say either one of these shows are up your alley. Both are set in high school but don’t feel childish like a lot of high school romances do, and both made me laugh as much as root for the romance. A highlight of both series is also their supporting casts of characters who add just as much to the shows as their respective main couplings.

Both FL and ML have known each other since they were young. FLs have always liked MLs, and the MLs also like the FLs, but these feelings are unknown to each other (till later in the series). The MLs admire the FLs very much. In both anime, the FL is taller and stronger than the other girls in her class. The FLs are also athletic. The FLs in both anime also have 2 close friends; one is the cute and fluffy friend, whereas the other is the realistic, stoic girl. Both anime are romantic comedies, where the main character is convinced her crush doesn't know her secret. However, Tomo-chan is a much funnier comedy and has less fan service. What's more, it has Carol, trust me, it's worth it!

These two anime series have the same plot, if you like one of them you will like the other. Two people who like each other, but are not saying anything to each other.  

Because she received the blessing of the Gorilla God, Sophia Riller is absurdly strong—to the point of being clumsy at times because of it. However, just like Tomo Aizawa, all she wants is to live a normal life. Since she is a count’s daughter, she wants to meet the expectations of being a true "lady," which sometimes leads to an identity crisis, as she isn't as "delicate" or vulnerable as she believes a young woman like her should be. This strongly echoes Tomo's conflicts, who doesn't want to be perceived as "one of the boys." Another similarity is the subversion of the "damsel in distress" trope; both Tomo and Sophia are strong enough to defend themselves and can easily handle any situation that comes their way. Both animes have a protagonist that can look pretty boyish per see (looks and attitudes overall). The main differences that I notice was that "[...] Girl Beats Boys" follows a more serious path and, actually, it has some interesting motivation for the girl looks boyish (something related to her family and, specifically, with her twin- a guy btw). I remember how the 2017 was overwhelming underrated and I think is excellent that Tomo-chan anime's made me reminder me about this "old"-short show (each episode is about 8 minutes long btw). I, genuinely, thought it was badass back when it was airing so, if you actually missed a focus in the dilemma by assuming a boy persona rather than a girl in Tomo-chan show this might be up your alley. Tomo-chan, in other hand, has a great focus in the humor following the circumstances of misunderstanding regarding Tomo's gender and breaking "the code" between what is commonly/sense in man and woman interactions. By anyway, as it would be expected, both shows follows different leads despite containing similar elements. To sum up: "[...] Girl Beats Boy" have fights between the protagonist (a girl) with "school leaders/gang leaders" while in school and the objective, more or less, was to take control of the school in disguise as a man, "Tomo-chan [...]", differently, is about a girl that has mannerisms like a boy and she starts comfortable by being like that but while entering high school she notice that her best friend- a boy (and love interest) misudestand her as a guy, specifically, as "partners in 'crime'" ("shinyu" or something like that) and humorous tensions between each other are trigger by "awkward" situations. Both shows seemed very good throughout their specific topics/approaches. read more 

Both shows, at their core, are light-hearted wholesome rom-coms about romance between an ordinary guy and handsome androgynous girls. Lots of witty gender humor and good-natured messages against gender prejudice. The only difference is the opposite dynamic between the protagonists and their love interests, and the fact that Tomo-chan is shonen and Goukon is josei. 

The same romance comedy that involves one of the couple that has some insecurity about his partner. 

Both works have a slightly different theme and work in a similar way. If you liked one, you will surely enjoy the other. 

Both are RomComs. Single season introduction to Anime RomCom style. Short, easy to digest, and easy on the newcomers. 

They both take place in a school setting with a mix of comedy and action. The main male and female characters are childhood friends, and while the girl has feelings for the guy, he's too dense to notice. The guy best friend is very protective of her but doesn't see the girl as a potential love interest. 

- In both, the love story progresses very slowly. In Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko, the male lead either doesn’t realize the female lead’s feelings or refuses to acknowledge them, while in Ao Haru Ride, the male lead disappears and, upon his return, acts very distant toward the female lead after having previously shown some interest in her. - Characters with unique personalities. - In both, the male protagonists are loners or try to be. - Both feature love triangles. - School setting. - They're really fun to watch.  

Both have yandere black haired girls who trolls those around them. Both have blonde rich girls who are airheads. Both also have a theme of "slice of life" to the story. Both consist of some girls doing tomboyish things.
