When I was a kid, I had an interest in Dragon Ball Z. But the bits of fights I caught on TV weren't enough for me. I wanted to know more about these characters. So I asked for my mom's phone and began binging the OG Dragon Ball. By the time I finished, it was the greatest adventure I could ever have. The chase for the 'complete story' would spark the completionist in me ever since.

When I was a teenager, I was a full-on One Piece fan. However, while I was going through the infamous Dressrosa arc, I started to notice the production issues in the anime. The slow pace and poor quality came to a point it was ruining my experience. So I paused the show and picked up the manga. The enjoyment I got from reading the story was on par with watching it and often even better. Since then I gained an appreciation for the manga medium that may have become greater than my appreciation for anime itself.

I don’t believe there’s an objective way to evaluate art. People will value different things and their unique experiences are valid. When I write a review, I attempt to give a spoiler-free description of what a title offers: theme, art, style, characters, setting... This way the reader can judge weather it aligns with their taste. My ratings, however, reflect how I value those elements.
Some of my preferences are: adventure, world building, misteries, romance, psychological depth, smart characters... But I'm always open to experience different kind of stories, even hentai.
