★ I LOVE yuri/GL mangas, manhwas, manhuas and Webtoons more than any other genre if I had to say my favourite Yuri mangas would be Come Rain or Shine, her tale of shim chong and Fragments of Love by Jin Takemiya although there is so much more Yuri manga that are really amazing, that I enjoy.
Outside of yuri I also enjoy mangas with themes of crime, psychology, gothic and dark, war, and underground markets.
★ When it comes to anime, I watch anything that catches my interest. However, I have a strong preference for horror, psychological, dark, and gothic stories with intriguing plots.
★ I think the xxxHolic series is an absolute masterpiece. From the storytelling to the incorporation of Japanese folklore and symbolism, every aspect is thoughtfully given a purpose to the series. The art and fashion are on a whole other level, making it truly something unique. :)
★ I have a similar passion for Soul Eater as I do for xxxHolic. Both are manga/anime series that stay true to their core themes. Every detail in these series serves a purpose, and there’s so much dedication to the setting, characters, and storyline that time seems to disappear while watching or reading them.
★ My guilty pleasure anime is Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt (& Gushing over Magical Girls). It has just the right mix of sexy comedy and really nails the bimbo vibe for Panty and Stocking. It feels like it could’ve aired on Adult Swim with how much it resembles American cartoons.
★ These are truly my comfort animes: Lucky Star, Panty & Stocking, Bocchi the Rock, Super Cub, K-On. (...TBC...)

This is the first time I have heard of In the Night Garden. It look like it aired in America in 2010, so I would have been in my last year of high school. It wasn't on network like Cartoon Network, Disney or Nick, so my younger siblings most likely never watched it either.

ah yes.. highschool dxd the famous ecchi fest, i havent watch it myself and i dont think i will.. just look at the op/ed you know you wouldnt like it, like just imagine.. regular dude.. multiple hot girls having crush on him, panty shots, boobs bouncing, probably pool/beach episode and bath episode, ugh.. boring! we dont see much of these anymore but this premise was the defining genre of the decade 2010s, just like how isekai is the 2020s now, every season you will see high school setting romcom harem of regular dude and hot girls who want him for stupid reasons, just like isekai slop filling up the anime chart every season in 2020s
i havent start on friday 13th and i did watch some scream, at least with scream its the "who dunnit" theme and it can be fun to guess who. wait i know scary movie, im not sure if i ever watch one though, in general i usually avoid parody movies since i just think theyre going to be pointless or a spoiler. when i want something funny i watch comedy, for example derry girls or freaks and geeks are funny to me

a girl walks home alone at night is one of those artsy movies, when i watch 'humanist vampire seeking consenting suicidal person' (yeah long title i know), it reminds me a lot of girl walks home alone at night, both are about vampire, but theyre different though, wait let me show you one iconic scene from humanist vampire one; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8M88UZGWhO4 you can see the emotional shift on the vampire girl, from timid to excitement then to sadness, both movies are directed by women btw, i think you would like humanist vampire one more actually
so true, like we know teenagers have their hormones going through puberty and they might be drawn to sexual themes and shit but i think they should create more with themes that match their age more, stranger things, chilling adventure of sabrina, IT, etc i think these franchise are more suitable (and also because i like these type of shows more lol)

Now, that you've explained things to me, I feel like this is something that I would enjoy. Hence, I'll try to catch up with season 1 before season 2 begins.
I don't do gaming that much, however I'm completely obsessed with everything to do with a game called "Little Nightmares". I really love the story & the atmosphere of the game. despite not liking the last instalment of the game (LN3) as much as the previous parts, I still think that I have every merchandise that is to do with the franchise (even the soundtrack, the comics based on the game & another game linked to it).

I'd say that I listen to almost every genre except Death Metal. From Classical Music to Pop, Rock, Hip Hop, Folklore, Opera, Indie, New Age, Progressive...etc, everything is on my list.
I have to say though that Rock & all of its sub-genres (Indie, Alternative, Melodic...etc) have a huge place in my heart, because it's always my go to when stressed. I also really like songs with expressive lyrics, since I'm into poetry as well.

Yeah thats how I felt about the anime, not that its the worst anime ever, but its just really a series that is skipabble at this point and not really worth the time. I was watching it with s friend weekly and we just all together forgot about the anime or just stopped watching. We chose another series to watch through that time. Like for ex. We started Welcome to the Ballroom which was an anime ive already seen and rewatched. Then we are currently watching Neon Genesis which has been pretty good and it has lived up to its hype so far. Idk its something about the adult romance anime that is either a great little SOL that drags out epsiodes or the execution is almost perfect its never in between. Its like either or which I find pretty interesting.
Yeah I I get what you mean, the highschool romance set up is very predictable, once you have seen at least 25+ of them its like eh you have seen this this and that already it just becomes pretty redundant. They are still enjoybale but not to the lvl of an adult romance anime which ive seen very few of and the few that I've sent at the least were a good watch overall. I dont think we get enough of them though on a seasonal basis.
Okay well I will give K-ON! A chance then I know its a pretty popular series as well and is it kind of simialr to Bocchi in a way or a little better?
The studios spamming action scenes at us is only a frequent shift in the anime community as a whole, it draws in more and more casual viewers and looks great to the eye so it will gain more and more money when they do that so why stop now you know? I feel like that is there mentality, the times have changed and its hard as an og watcher to except that sometimes but you know it is what it is.

I have never watch Sesame Street. I would change the channel whenever it come on. I do know the characters like Big Bird and Elmo, but I was just not interest. I definitely did watch a lot of Barney when I was little. When I was little, I was obsessed with Winnie the Pooh and Mickey Mouse.

and awesome, thanks for sharing a little of what you vibe to as well! that's so intriguing. vkei is still pretty much uncharted territory for me. off the top of my head, the only names that come to mind are nightmare, liphlich, drugs and wataru shindo, and the latter is from a completely different context, that being shibari. getting introduced to their work as a rope artist is how i ended up finding out about their involvement in music, so i'll definitely have to tap into some of the bands you've mentioned and finally expand my horizons a little further.
